A Future Leader Transforming Moncton South - Support Our Journey!
Vincent works and volunteers in Moncton South where he fights daily for social justice and equity as the city’s Community Development Officer for Social Inclusion. His life experiences shaped his perspective and commitment to social issues. Having a government that works for New Brunswickers is central to his campaign.
“Everyone has the right to feel secure where they live, an affordable roof over their head, and timely access to healthcare.” ~ Vincent Merola

At a young age, he got out of poverty thanks to family
Growing up in New England, Vincent experienced severe poverty and neglect as a child. When he needed help the most, his now-wife Michelle’s caring family took him when he was a homeless 17 year old. He was then able to complete his GED, and now holds a university degree in sociology! Vincent believes that the right support from the community can truly help change one's trajectory.
Vincent’s wife of 24 years, Michelle, works as a registered nurse in the Horizon system. They moved to the region in 2018 and consider New Brunswick their forever home.
